Boston Medical Center, Boston University School Of Medicine Neuroradiologist Named One Of America's Top Doctors

(Boston)-Weston resident Alexander M, Norbash, MD, chief of radiology at Boston Medical Center (BMC) was recently named one of America’s Top Doctors by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd.

The America’s Top Doctors guide, recognized by consumers seeking high-quality medical care, is a trusted and authoritative resource for identifying top doctors in the United States. The selected top doctors are nominated by hospital presidents; vice presidents of medical affairs; and chiefs of service in anesthesiology, obstetrics and gynecology, medicine, emergency medicine, pediatrics, psychiatry, radiology and surgery; as well as randomly selected board-certified physicians.

Norbash, a professor and chair of radiology at Boston University School of Medicine (BUSM), received his medical degree from the University of Missouri and performed his residency at Saint Francis Medical Center of Pennsylvania, and the University of Pittsburgh. He earned his Masters of Public Health at Harvard School of Public Health, and later served as a fellowship director for both the diagnostic neuroradiology and interventional neuroradiology fellowships at Stanford University Hospital.

His research interests have focused on carotid artery stenting, vertebral artery stenting and covered stent placement in the carotid artery.
